Melissa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian. She has been working at TxDOT for over 10 years. Throughout her career, her experience has been focused on pavement forensics, field investigations, pavement design, and materials engineering. Currently, she works in the Flexible Pavements Section where she oversees the operations of the four hot mix labs in the section.
